It's a powerful video converter and DVD ripper, providing preset conversion rules for all major formats. The interface in Movavi Video Converter is well laid out with a large built-in player that lets you preview the video inside the program. At the bottom you'll find drop-down menus that allow you to define conversions by device type - such as iPod, iPhone, Sony PSP, Blackberry, Microsoft Zune and Creative Zen - or a specific conversion standard.
The Movavi Video Converter built-in editor lets you preview footage but doesn't seem to allow editing of it, which is a bit frustrating. There are therefore no tools for cropping or rotating the image, adjust brightness and contrast, save a specific frame or add a watermark. It does, however, allow you to join clips, which is useful if you've downloaded a clip of more than 10 minutes from YouTube.
Movavi Video Converter is an attractive and easy-to-use tool thanks to it's clear interface and presets. However, it's a shame that you have little control over editing the footage before you convert.
